Resolve size labels before building the order

EU, US, UK and centimeter labels are not interchangeable without a source-specific chart. Ask which foot or internal-length method supports the conversion. Keep men's, women's and children's ranges separate when the last or grading differs.

Define the shoe beyond its colorway

Plan the size run as a quantity decision

Write the number of pairs in each size, then ask whether the MOQ applies per model, color or size. If a supplier proposes an assorted carton, request the exact size distribution instead of assuming it matches local demand.

Use sample and QC photos for different purposes

A sample can test fit, materials and construction before a larger order. QC photos can show visible details of a particular prepared item. Neither proves that every pair will be identical or that the product meets an unstated standard.

One sample pair cannot approve the whole size run

A sample in one size can reveal construction and an initial fit, but it does not show how the pattern grades across smaller and larger sizes. Ask whether the same last and materials apply throughout the range, then verify the sizes that carry the greatest fit or demand risk. Keep grading questions separate from cosmetic QC. Note any size-specific tooling or packing difference.

Views that make footwear evidence useful

• Both lateral and medial sides.
• Toe shape and heel construction.
• Outsole pattern and sidewall.
• Tongue, label area and interior.
• Insole or internal-length measurement when relevant.
• Pair together to check visible symmetry.
• Box label only when a box is part of the agreed packing.

Boxes and cartons belong in the cost comparison

Ask how many pairs fit in a carton, whether individual boxes are included, and whether weight is estimated or measured. Removing boxes may reduce volume but changes protection and the delivered product configuration.
